Former veteran said, Virat Kohli did not listen to MS Dhoni, no coaching staff speaks against him

New Delhi, Online Desk. The Indian team has made its most disappointing start so far in the ICC T20 World Cup. Team India got a big defeat in the first two matches. In the first match, Pakistan team defeated by 10 wickets. After this, the New Zealand team defeated by a huge margin of 8 wickets. Former India opener Gautam Gambhir has questioned Virat Kohli's decision to make major changes in the playing XI after a match. He also clarified that this cannot be Mahendra Singh's suggestion at all.

After losing the first match against Pakistan, captain Kohli made such changes in the second match against New Zealand which sank the team's foundation. Ishan Kishan was given a place in the team in place of Suryakumar Yadav. On the other hand, Shardul Thakur was given a chance in place of Bhuvneshwar Kumar. The decision to drop Rohit Sharma from the appointment and field Ishan at this place proved to be wrong.

Gambhir wrote in the column of English newspaper TOI, "Virat Kohli has never impressed me with his strategy. Once again he let me down in the match against New Zealand on Sunday. Why did he change such early matches. In the team that played the match against Pakistan."

Gambhir emphasized that he has played with MS Dhoni for a long time and understands it very well that he is never in favor of making quick changes in the team. Gambhir said, “I have played with MS Dhoni for a long time and know very well that he does not believe in making such changes after a match. What I think is that no one in the coaching staff will like Kohli. does not challenge the matter."
