Cheapest petrol is available in India here, about Rs 12/litre cheaper than Delhi

 New Delhi, Business Desk. After the price of petrol and diesel reached a record level, the central government has cut the excise duty on petrol and diesel by Rs 5 and Rs 10 respectively. After this, the states have also reduced the rates at their level. It is being seen as the biggest Diwali gift of the Modi government. Due to this, the rate of food items and vegetables is also expected to come down.




The special thing is that even after such a big drop in oil prices, petrol still remains above Rs 90 per liter. However, there is also a state in India where it is being sold at Rs 87.10 per liter (rate of 4 November). At the same time, diesel is being sold expensive to 91.62 / LTR (rates of November 3).

Here, in Delhi, the price of petrol was reduced by Rs 6.07 and diesel by Rs 11.75 per liter on Thursday. The price of petrol in Delhi has come down from Rs 110.04 per liter to Rs 103.97 per liter and accordingly the price of diesel has come down from Rs 98.42 per liter to 86.67 per liter.


Petrol price in Mumbai has come down by Rs 5.87 to Rs 109.98 per liter and diesel by Rs 12.48 to Rs 94.14 per liter. In Kolkata, the price of diesel was reduced by Rs 5.82 to Rs 104.67 per liter and that of diesel by Rs 11.77 to Rs 89.79 per litre.

Petrol and diesel became cheaper by Rs 12 per liter in Haryana. Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has announced this on Twitter. The Uttar Pradesh government had also reduced the VAT rate on both the fuels, making them cheaper by Rs 12 per liter in the state.


In Gujarat, the price of petrol has now gone up to Rs 95.13 per liter and diesel to Rs 89.12 per liter in Ahmedabad, while in Surat the price of both the fuels has gone up to Rs 94.89 and Rs 88.89 respectively.
